All applications for children starting school in Reception are to be made via the London-wide eAdmissions website. We offer additional support to families requiring help when applying for Reception school places. Further information about applying for Reception places can also be found on the Southwark Council website.
Please note, children who already attend our nursery are not guaranteed a place in Reception. A separate application must be made via the eAdmissions website.
Over-subscription criteria (For all years except Nursery)
In the event of there being more applications than available places, and after the admission of children with statements of special education needs where the academy is named on the statement, places will be allocated against the criteria set out below:
- Looked after children and previously looked after children
- Children of staff at the school
- Children who will have a brother or sister attending the school at the time of entry
- Children with exceptional medical, social or psychological needs
- Distance
Admissions appeals
Parents of reception aged children will have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel if they are dissatisfied with an admission decision of the Academy. The Appeal Panel will be independent of the academy. The arrangements for Appeals will be in line with Schools Admissions Appeals Code published by the Department for Education. The determination of the appeal panel will be made in accordance with the Code and will be binding on all parties. The academy will provide appeals forms on request and acknowledge receipt of completed appeals forms and supporting information. These forms will then be forwarded to the independent appeals panel.
Please refer to the Appeals flowchart and the Appeals guidance for more information.
