Our Music curriculum:
- is taught by specialist teachers
- focuses on a broad range of musical skills, including performance, notation and responding to music
- promotes confidence and gives children new experiences
- is inclusive of all

Redriff’s Music Implementation
Our Music curriculum:
- follows Southwark Music Hub’s curriculum
- develops the child’s ability to: sing; explore sound; explore pulse and rhythm; read and write notation; compose; listen and respond to music of all styles; play instruments; perform and evaluate
- is planned with cross curricular learning and links to our local community
- includes high level subject specific vocabulary,
- is deliberately well sequenced to support children making connections through year groups
- uses a variety of high quality resources with children having experience of playing a variety of instruments
- gives children opportunities to perform to peers, parents and carers and the whole school community
