The LSE+ Maths Hub is one of a network of 40 Maths Hubs in England, working together within the Maths Hubs Programme, which began in 2014. The programme is fully funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) as part of the wider development of school-led system leadership in England. This funding means all the CPD we have on offer is free to participating schools.
Our Hub is made up of over 450 schools and colleges across Bexley, Greenwich, Lewisham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and the City of London. Our central office can be found at Redriff Primary School – our lead school. We work together to achieve excellence in mathematics education from Early Years to Post-16 by providing high-quality professional development opportunities whilst harnessing all the maths leadership and expertise within our Hub region, to develop and spread excellent practice for the benefit of all pupils and students.
Our vision is that all pupils enjoy the best possible experience of learning maths, nurturing and developing the mathematicians of tomorrow.
