Our PSHE/RSHE curriculum:
- prepares learners for life in modern Britain
- is meaningful and relevant to Redriff learners and adapted to their needs
- is engaging and accessible, ensuring every young person gets an equal opportunity to develop the skills they need to thrive
- helps our young people manage their own emotional wellbeing
- is underpinned by our school values
- allows learners to make informed decisions about their lives

Redriff’s PSHE and RSHE Implementation
Our PSHE/RSHE curriculum
- focuses on skill development and knowledge acquisition
- is purposefully well sequenced and connected so skills and knowledge build over time, starting in EYFS.
- is an opportunity for our learners to develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive today and in the future
- allows children to develop their compassion, empathy, understanding and their inclusivity for all
- is informed by DfE accredited PSHE Association scheme of work
- covers the national curriculum and goes beyond, responding to the needs of our learners
- teaches young people how to safeguard themselves and others
- is designed and informed by subject specialists and subject organisations
- follows a thematic planning approach, allowing different year groups to work on the same skills at the same time
- develops the skills in young people to celebrate their successes and differences
- focuses on not only tolerance of differences but acceptance
- is adapted to meet the needs of all pupils
- is assessed with pre and post learning tasks
- is full of high quality vocabulary
