Celebrating Lunar New Year
Published: Thu 12 February 2026

We had a fantastic time celebrating Lunar New Year 2026 together. The children looked wonderful in their red clothes and traditional Chinese outfits, bringing colour and excitement to the school day. Our celebration lunch was a big success, with pupils enjoying a delicious range of dishes and a sweet fruity dessert to finish. We were also so impressed by the creativity shown in our lantern competition — well done to the winners!
To end the day on a festive note, each child was gifted a chocolate gold coin, a traditional symbol of good luck and prosperity for the year ahead. It was a joyful day and a lovely opportunity for everyone to learn more about this important festival.
